Amybeth McNulty (born in Dublin in Ireland) is an Irish Canadian actor. She is most famous for her role as the main character Anne Shirley on the CBC/Netflix Drama Series Anne with an E. The show was inspired by the novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery Anne of Green Gables from 1908. Amybeth McNulty, born 7 November 2001, was the daughter of an Irish father and a Canadian father and an Irish mother. Amybeth was born on the the 7th of November 2001 in Ireland. Amybeth will turn twenty in 2023. She was born in Donegal and raised there. She is a dual citizen with Irish citizenship and Canadian citizenship. The blonde locks on her hair. Anne has a complicated love affair with Gilbert Blythe. Gilbert was 2 years older than Anne and he was at the same level of school. Gilbert's education was interrupted due to his father's illness. Gilbert nicknamed Anne Carrots at the time they first came into contact. Amybeth McNulty stars as Anne, a 13-year-old who has been through a difficult childhood living in orphanages and the home of strangers. In the latter part of 1890, Anne is mistakenly sent to stay with her elderly brothers Marilla as well as Matthew Cuthbert who live on Prince Edward Island. They're all very happy when the series is over at the end of 1919. Gilbert has aged to 55, yet he is deeply inlove with Anne.
